Maxtone's MXC kits are based on 9-layered basswood shells to deliver maximum strength, perfect curving, and neutral tuning thanks to the cross-lamination tension-free process. The covered finish is very sturdy and long-lasting and the workmanship is of absolute quality. The drums feature heavy-duty tuning lugs with fine-pitch threads and the TuneSafe tuning feature which prevents the screws from loosening.
